"The other girls had to watch me 'cause they didn't know what to do."
(And how would she know that if she was watching the teacher.)
You can't attach a monetary value to dance classes. All those weekly lessons and then they are only on stage for about 3 minutes. The performance is less than polished . . . but they sure lift the spirit and lighten the heart. Just what little girls do best.
What makes a real man's man give up his time for musicals and recitals?
A girl.
Brian was in the San Diego temple yesterday afternoon for one of his good friend's wedding. After the reception he headed home, arriving at 2:30 a.m., just so he could be at Jenna's recital. Everyone knows flowers are a must for any performer, so he stopped to buy some before coming. He slipped into his seat just as the curtain rose up for her number. Whew!! He actually went to her rehearsal earlier to see if that attendance would satisfy her, so he wouldn't have to drive home late last night.
Jenna's comments on her flowers:
"Are these cheap or expensive?"
"Did you buy them at the grocery store?"
"What is this little packet for?" "It's flower food."
"Compost?"
I asked Brian how she knows about compost. "She just does. And she knows it comes from poop, too."
