NFR Las Vegas . . .

. . . where the craziest things can happen in less than 8 seconds.

Wrangler NFR rookie, Tyler Smith (Perf 8), won Round 8 with an 84.5 ride. He was the first one out of the chute and the only one of the 15 riders to make the 8-second whistle, earning $38,979. (Notice he almost does the splits on his landing.) Why anyone wants to ride a bull is beyond me. Horses might be higher off the ground, but bulls come after you.

My d.i.l's family has a tradition to attend every year with her Grandpa getting several tickets. It's been many a year since this Montana girl has gone to a rodeo. We had great seats down low to the right of the bull pen. YeeHaw!

Bulls and Broncs . . . dirt and dung. Somehow the nacho smell doesn't blend well with that. Now I have a new meaning for my grandmother's saying "go outside and let the stink blow off."
