Six is Spectacular!

Jenna (Hannah Montana) is six! Finally started kindergarten and lost her first tooth. She wanted to have a Halloween party this year. No problem. When you have a mother who has been planning parties since she was six and a father who grew up in a family who loved Halloween, you get this . . . (you can click on the pictures for an enlarged view.)

Those are little black lights in a black sheer panel in the front window. Brian made the coffin . . .

And used his welding skills to make the crooked fence.

Unfortunately, we didn't get a picture of Brian's handiwork in the living room. He dyed some cheesecloth from black to gray to make webs that were draped all around the ceiling. He also fixed it so the entry light was slightly flickering, you know, like in the movies. Something to do with a flux capacitor.

Serving up some Mummy pizzas and a slime lime drink, also fruit, chips, Kaymee's yummy baked salsa dip, and pasta salad.

After dinner they had a picture scavenger hunt in the front yard, played Halloween Bingo, and had so much fun freeze dancing to Halloween music and a few Hannah Montana songs here and there. When the music stopped, you held your pose. The strobe light made it fun for them to see their shadows on the wall. A frightful evening wouldn't be complete without a black light and a fog machine.

A wonderful Spooktacular birthday!
