Peanuts & Cotton
Kim said we should let everyone know what's been happening or if we go anywhere. I happen to know that some people have been to places all over the world - over seas and in the states. Barry and I took a little day trip with some friends to Jay, Florida, which is close to Chumuckla for the peanut festival.
In other words, it's way out in the country. There was a game of football in a cow pasture.
Don't know if you can see it, but this is called a "Redneck Hot Tub."
The people were all real friendly. This guy just waved, as if to say, "Come join us."
We asked this little guy what happened to his front teeth. He said he lost them.
Then proceeded to tell us all about it.
There were all kinds of arts and crafts on sale. It was hard to pass up this bubble making thingy. See the guy in the red hat - that's Barry.
Of course, Barry found the tractors. Lots of John Deere Green, but he's kind of a Kubota Orange guy.
But still, a tractor is a tractor and Barry and Doug had to look at them. You know, boys and toys, etc., etc., etc.
Then there were the "Pony Ries."
I'm guessing maybe because it was such a small pony, no one felt the need to correct the sign. Or perhaps I'm the only one that noticed the misspelling.
There was a parade of dogs all dressed up. Yes, this is a bunny, but don't tell him he's the only one.
There was a greased pig contest, minus the grease. Where's the fun in that?
All the kids just fell on the poor pig and that was it.
It was a peanut festival, but my friends and I couldn't resist having our picture taken in "high cotton." Bless our cotton pickin little hearts. It was a beautiful day spent with good friends and we were back home before dark. Next fall just let us know if you want to join us in Jay.

LOL on that spelling! And that pony was soooo teeny--how did they find a saddle that small? The rabbit is such a "poser" tryin' to fit into the 'hood.
Loved the pic of you and your friends. Thanks for sharing -- keep it up.
